Activities Around Jaco Beach
After visiting Ocean Ranch Park, you can take part in other activities that will add to the pleasure and enjoyment of your trip to Costa Rica. The range of activities include events centering on nature, wildlife, and excitement.
The Jungle Crocodile Safari
One event that combines all of these is the 2-hour Jungle Crocodile Safari boat trip that will show you one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful ecosystems. This tour takes place along the Tarcoles River in a sleek modern boat accompanied by a bilingual guide who will share fascinating information about the assortment of life you will see along the way. The Tarcoles River is where you will see an abundance of crocodiles including some that are up to 15 ft. in length. You also will see a variety of lizards and iguanas along with 50 species of birds.

You will also have a chance to comb the beach and to look at the nearby trees for colorful monkeys, birds, and other Costa Rican wildlife.
The Pacific Rainforest Aerial Tram
The Aerial Tram allows guests to view 222 acres of the tropical rainforest from a different and exciting perspective. You will travel in a safe, open-air gondola that has seating and a roof. This is a great opportunity to see elusive bird species, and to get a look at the Pacific coastline along with a 40 foot waterfall. You can also tour a serpentaria and an amazing gallery of heliconias. You can combine the aerial tram and the serpentaria into one tour.
The Calypso Catamaran Cruise to Tortuga Island
The Calypso Catamaran Cruise to Tortuga Island is a unique experience. The cruise is aboard the Manta Raya which is wonderfully equipped boat and it travels at a speed that allows you to spend more time on the island and still get you back to Jaco for dinner. You will sit down to a delicious BBQ lunch prepared by an expert chef and elegantly served in Calypso’s private and shaded dining area. You can also enjoy a swim in the beautiful turquoise waters. The Manta Raya has a convenient bow ramp that allows you to disembark directly onto the beach.
